Walking Week
Taking you from Davos to Arosa and Lenzerheide, this tour allows you to see the best of the Graubünden, at your own pace, with your luggage waiting for you as you arrive at each resort for a well-earned overnight rest. Whilst there is no guide accompanying you, a detailed itinerary is provided along with high-quality maps and extensive notes. Short-cuts and longer detours are described, so you can follow your own route. Cable cars and buses can take most of the uphill strain. Each walking day can be comfortably completed in 6 hours.
DAY 1: Fly to Zurich and travel to
Sunstar Parkhotel Davos for your 1st night.
DAYS 2 & 3: At leisure in Davos. Take advantage of your hotel's leisure facilities, or ask about the excursions on offer.
DAY 4: Walk (or cable car) to Panoramaweg, then walk across the Strelpass and down the Sapuner valley to Langweis, where the train departs for Arosa and a night at the
Hotel Sunstar Park.
DAY 5: Enjoy the town and twin lakes of Arosa; swim in the lido or hire a sailing dinghy. The cog railway runs a frequent service to Chur, Switzerland's oldest town.
DAY 6: Walk, or catch a bus and cable car, to Hörnli at 2500m altitude. The next stage of today's walk is downhill to Scharmoin and the middle stage of the Rothorn cable car. Ride down to the outskirts of Lenzerheide, leaving an easy stroll to the Sunstar Hotel.
DAY 7: Explore the area around the waters of Heidsee. Many activities are on offer such as sailing, cycling, riding and fishing.
DAY 8: The efficient Swiss public transport network returns you to Zurich Airport via Chur,or extend your stay in Switzerland at any of the delightful hotels in this brochure.
Bernese Overland Walking Tour 
Experience hiking in the beautiful pastures and mountain trails that criss-cross the
Bernese Oberland. Walk past the dramatic profile of the Eiger and on to flower-carpeted meadows and clear mountain streams on this independent tour where your luggage is sent on ahead!
Day 1: Fly from your chosen UK airport to Zurich or Geneva and take the train to Wengen, where you’ll stay for two nights at
Hotel Sunstar Wengen.
Day 2: At leisure in Wengen. Maybe take the train to the Jungfraujoch.
Day 3: Mountain walk to Wengernalp, the foot of the Eiger and into Grindelwald (walking time approx 7 hours). Three nights accommodation at
Hotel Sunstar, Grindelwald. Days 4 & 5: At leisure in Grindelwald, where you could visit the beautiful Alpine Garden at Schynige Platte.
Day 6: Walk through lush pastures of the Horbach until Grosse Scheidegg, with fantastic views of the Wetterhorn. Follow clear mountain streams to the Schwarzwald-Alp and Rosenlaui before reaching the Reichenbach falls (where Sherlock Holmes met his untimely end!). Walk time approx 7 hours, which can be shortened with gondolas. Two night’s accommodation at Park Hotel du Sauvage.
Day 7: At leisure in delightful Meiringen.
Day 8: Train back to Zurich or Geneva for your return flight.
