GOURMET HIKING

Five trails located at an altitude of over 1600 metres now exist in the Villars region. Each trail takes between two to five hours to walk and the differences in altitude uphill are no greater than 600 metres. The trails are therefore easy to walk for both hikers and lovers of fine food.

EXCURSIONS

Mini-bus excursions make it possible for you to discover some of Switzerland’s top destinations that can be visited on a day trip, for example Gstaad and Gruyère, Montreux and the Château de Chillon, the Glacier 3000 at Diablerets, Zermatt or the Fondation Gianadda in Martigny.

MINI GOLF

Gryon mini-golf is great for the whole family. Located in a lovely small grove in Barboleuse, the mini-golf of Gryon is wonderfully entwined among the twisting tracks of the minitrain of Gryon Parc.

ADVENTURE PARK

This is a new recreational concept in the woods for children and seasoned adventurers. Equipped with a harness you securely move about among the trees up to a height of 15 metres. Five courses of different degrees of difficulty and two courses for kids guide you through the Adventure Park.

Villars

We love it for...

  • Chalet - style villages
  • Excellent walking and hiking trails
  • Being host to the Swiss open golf championship

The charming French-speaking Alpine resort, Villars is set at 1256m in a beautiful south-facing location above the Rhone Valley. There are over 320km of marked paths both in the immediate vicinity and on the higher Alpine slopes and 150km of all terrain mountain biking trails which allow you to discober the countryside and natural beauty of the area. From the centre of the village a quaint mountain railway takes you to Bretaye and its three high altitude lakes, at the hub of a vast walking area.

In addition, an 18 hole golf course allows golfers to enjoy their sport at an altitude of 1600 metres. Other sporting activities include educational woodland walks, Nordic walking trails and a via ferrata route near Les Diablerets.
