Davos

We love it for...

  • Breathtaking scenery
  • Superb walking region
  • World famous resorts
  • Davos Klosters Inclusive Card

The world famous Alpine resorts of Davos and Klosters are surrounded by the great peaks of the Grisons Alps. Davos and Klosters have some superb walking country with 700km of well kept paths. Cable cars and mountain railways criss-cross this part of Switzerland. Most lifts open on the last weekend in June. A must is the 'Panorama Path', providing magnificent views of the valley.

From Davos you can take the bus to the picturesque village of Monstein, where you can sample the local beer at the highest brewery  in Europe "the last beer shop before heaven", or you can travel up to one of the side valleys and walk back, or even sample the local cheese at the Alpine Cheese Dairy at Clavadeleralp.

Davos is divided into two main parts (Platz and Dorf) and its lively main street is lined with cafes and shops. Klosters is a quieter, traditional resort - ideal for a relaxing summer holiday.

You could also take a coach trip to the tiny principality of Liechtenstein, and its pretty capital, Vaduz.
