It's perfect for...
  • Walking amongst magical mountain scenery

  • Swimming, cycling, sailing and windsurfing
Towering majestically above the Bernese Oberland is the glistening snow clad peak of the Jungfrau. Together with its equally impressive neighbours, the Eiger and Mönch, it forms one of the most spectacular vistas in the world. It is a really superb region which has long been a popular choice for British visitors, with its magnificent scenery, picturesque Alpine villages and flower-decked lakesides. Every kind of holiday is catered for with walking, swimming, sailing, windsurfing, tennis and golf as well as a variety of interesting excursions.

Spectacular cable cars and intriguing mountain railways carry you up to the highest peaks, graceful white steamers ply the lakes and Alpine coaches operate far and wide through the countryside. This is superb walking country and all the paths are marked with the approximate walking times. In the evening you might like to visit the Interlaken Kursaal for a folklore show or try your luck at the casino, enjoy a cheese fondue in a local stübli or sit on a café terrace and watch the world go by.
